I don't understand how I should complete the challenge

I tried with or || but without success. Should I use elseif for each check?

You can use two separate if .. else clauses for each students. Like this

if studentOneGPA ...
   // do sth
else
  // do sth..

if studentTwoGPA ...
  // do sth
else
  // do sth
