I downloaded MAMP but it doesn't have preferences tab. What do I do?

I am following course and it says I can remove the port number but when I go to the MAMP box it doesn't look the same as is in the tutorial.

I'm running MAMP 4.1.0.23876, which is pretty recent (within the last month or so), and preferences are under the MAMP menu item (not a tab) - the first menu at the top left. It pops up a Preferences dialog box and you can click the tab to Ports (or whatever you need) from there.

Hope this helps!

Thank you. I ended up downloading the older version of MAMP and am hoping that is OK. At the moment I am having difficulty setting up the SMTP functionality. . Not sure what I am doing wrong. I can add Wordpress, add the plugin, add the information but I keep on getting SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

Any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.
