I followed the lesson twice and am not seeing how the challenge is reflected in what I learned.

I went through the lesson twice and wrote everything down and I don't seem to be able to apply it to this challenge correctly. I would like to know the the answer.

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";

var lastName = "Smith";
console.log (id.toUpperCase( ));

var userName
index.html

  <title>JavaScript Basics</title>
</head>
<body>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

The challenge asks you to assign an upper case version of ID to Username.

Like this: var Username = id.toUpperCase();

= oparator assigns it to the variable username.

Hope it helps. :)

It's asking for you to assign the toUpperCase method to the id and then that to the Username variable, so you don't need the console.log method just use the given userName variable. the code would look like this:

var userName = id.toUpperCase();
