I don't know about the downloaded version of WP, but can you log into your account with the online administrator login page (your site name/wp-login.php?)

I don't know if this would be helpful, but this walks through the login process of the locally hosted version of WP here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/find-wordpress-login/

Apparently logging into the locally hosted one is a common problem.

Thank You Abby Mann. I was able to figure it out and then create a way to use email on a locally hosted version so that I can recover/change my password. Thanks again!

Resetting your password won't work on localhost out of the box. You can change this in MYSQL anytime. Just google it and you'll find the queries.

If you are using the most update version of Desktop Server (3.8.1). There is a built it plugin that you can enable that lets you bypass login and select a user to login with.
