PHP PHP Arrays and Control Structures PHP Loops For Looping

I have a problem with isset function, for loops and switch-case

Task: "Use the function isset to test if the incremented value equals one of the keys in the $facts array. If there is a key that matches, display the value AFTER the number."

(NOTE: all numbers between 1 and 100 should still be displayed)

After what I did: "Bummer! Make sure the fact is displayed directly after the number."

What did I do wrong?

index.php
<?php
$facts = array(
    57 => ' on Heinz ketchup bottles represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had.',
    2 => ' is the approximate hours a day Giraffes sleeps',
    18 => ' is the average hours a Python sleeps per day',
    10 => ' per cent of the world is left-handed.',
    11 => ' Empire State Buildings, stacked one on top of the other, would be required to measure the Gulf of Mexico at its deepest point.',
    98 => '% of the atoms in your body are replaced every year',
    69 => ' is the largest number of recorded children born to one woman',
);
//add your loop below this line

for ($i = 1; $i <= 100; $i++) {
  echo $i . "\n";

  switch($i) {

    case isset($facts[57]):
      echo $facts[57] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[2]):
      echo $facts[2] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[18]):
      echo $facts[18] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[10]):
      echo $facts[10] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[11]):
      echo $facts[11] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[98]):
      echo $facts[98] . "\n";
      break;

    case isset($facts[69]):
      echo $facts[69] . "\n";
      break;

    default:
      echo "Something is wrong!";

  }

}

Hi Ufuk Canlı,

You can use an if statement here and then check if it isset.

If that`s the case then you can echo out the facts

<?php
$facts = array(
    57 => ' on Heinz ketchup bottles represents the number of varieties of pickles the company once had.',
    2 => ' is the approximate hours a day Giraffes sleeps',
    18 => ' is the average hours a Python sleeps per day',
    10 => ' per cent of the world is left-handed.',
    11 => ' Empire State Buildings, stacked one on top of the other, would be required to measure the Gulf of Mexico at its deepest point.',
    98 => '% of the atoms in your body are replaced every year',
    69 => ' is the largest number of recorded children born to one woman',
);
//add your loop below this line

for ($i = 1; $i <= 100; $i++) {
  echo $i . "\n";

/*
Use if statment instead of switch
Check if $facts[$i] and the number are set
*/
     if(isset($facts[$i])){
// then echo out the $facts[$i]
        echo "$facts[$i];
    }
// add a linebreak here so everything is on it`s own line
       echo "<br />";
}

Thank you Pascal :)
