2,549 PointsI have extracted the first 4 and last 4 items from a string and added them together and cannot get the right answer.
I have even added in an if statement to check in the input string is less than 3 items in the string that would cause the code to break.
def first_4(iterable):
list_1 = iterable[0:4]
return(list_1)
def first_and_last_4(iterable):
list_2 = first_4 = iterable[0:4] + last_4 = iterable[-4::1]
#last_4 = iterable[-4::1]
#list_2 = first_4 + last_4
return(list_2)

2,549 PointsI managed to figure this out. Also the code I posted wasn't completely edited yet. I am sorry about this.
