I have no HTML experience, and I'm being asked to load external javascript into the webpage using the correct html

Where can I learn this information? Is there a place for learning html?

Treehouse has a ton of resources for learning HTML Basics. I'd suggest starting with the Front End Development Track. This will help you a lot! Good luck.

As for inserting that script, it should look like this.
