Your code is not working because incorrect use of CSS syntax. I suggest you read, CSS Syntax and Selectors and/ or Syntax for more information on proper use and best practice.

Your code should look like this;

thanks Oenas, i'm completely new at this. I'm getting better at it but i'm still getting stuck.
