I have to say that "IndianRed" is a disgusting name for an offical HTML color. Who decides these names?

It's time to be more culturally competent, and technology needs to catch up. I know this is not a Treehouse issue in any way, but if anyone knows who creates and maintains the HTML color library, I'd happily send them an email. I understand that developers don't always care about such things, but it's time that they start. It doesn't matter if it's only "backend" terminology; it's unacceptable.

From Wikipedia:

Etymology: The name Indian red derives from the red laterite soil found in India, which is composed of naturally occurring iron oxides. The first recorded use of Indian red as a color term in English was in 1792.

Thank you for explaining! I will make sure to further look into the etymology before going on cultural competence tirades. Lol. However, I make no promises as I continue to learn. I think conversations like this should be happening frequently in every industry, so I'll continue to speak up when uncomfortable.
