I have to stop and start the server when I make a change in a pug view, why is that and is there a better?

const express = require('express');

const app = express();

app.set('view engine', 'pug');

app.get('/', (req, res) => {
    res.render('index');
});

app.get('/cards', (req, res) => {
    res.render('card', { prompt: "Who is buried in Grant's tomb", hint: "Think about whose tomb it is."});

You can globally install nodemon.

npm install -g nodemon

Then you pass the file to nodemon the same way you do it with node

nodemon server.js

You can also write a nodemon start script in your package.json file.

"scripts": {
    "nodemon:start": "nodemon server"
  }

and use npm run nodemon:start
