name=" Huijuan Pei" subject="Treehouse loves{}".format(name)

strings.py

Hi Huijuan,

I think it isn't letting you pass this because you haven't put a space between "loves" and the placeholder. Please see the code below I used to pass this challenge:

name = "Tom"

subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

That shouldn't be the problem in fact you can try it out in a simple python shell, format works sorta the same as %s and as the string is a chain of characters the spaces is treated the same way so it really doesnt matter where the place holder is
