I have types this a few times and I can not get it to work. I am almost sure this is correct.

I even copied and pasted my workspace code that works and it does not answer here.

Hey Michael,

When adding links to images, you surround each image with an <a> element and remember to put an href attribute into the <a> element. These are separate elements, so they need to have their own set of < and >. Here's the footer you should have:

<footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p><a href="http://www.twitter.com"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="Twitter Logo"></a>
      <a href="http://www.facebook.com"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="Facebook Logo"></a>
</footer>

Notice that each <img> element is surrounded by an <a> element with an href attribute and they each have beginning and ending < and >.
