182 PointsI just practiced creating my first webpage but I don't know how to preview it. I can only see the default.
How do I preview my webpage
Frances Collins
1,610 PointsYou're right, there's something magical about the forking button. I hadn't been able to get my changes to show up on the preview either, thanks for this suggestion. For more experienced treehouse people: please explain why this works or what the root problem was?

15,202 PointsIf you are using Workspaces. In the Top right hand corner click the Eye and select a port.
You can also open the HTML file. using a web browser. Double-click the file to open it or right-click and select open with and choose any web browser.

33,856 PointsHey Nicholas, if you're using Workspaces, you might check out Introduction to Workspaces. Otherwise, simply drag the HTML
file into a web browser. Welcome to Treehouse.

6,882 PointsNot sure what you used to write your webpage, but if you browse to the .html file on you computer, you can open it in your web browser (Crome, Internet Explorer, Firefox).
For example, if I made a text file and called it testpage.html, wrote some stuff in it using notepad, I could preview it in a web-browser.

2,462 PointsI noticed an orange dot next to file name (under the manu bar). If I tap CMD+S (Command + Save on Mac), orange dot disappears and then clicking eye shows refreshed content. Hope this helps :)

965 PointsI just had the same problem. I clicked on Fork Workspaces (by the way I don't know exactly what this button does) and then reopened the file. Only then the Preview worked with my saved changes.
