I keep inserting the images wrong, but can't figure out why. I would like to see the correct format to compare.

Hi Nicole, to insert the images correctly for this code challenge, you do the following:

 <ul>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-01.jpg"/></li>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-02.jpg"/></li>
        <li><img src="img/numbers-06.jpg"/></li>
</ul>

For this code challenge it does not require you to have href attributes, also the <a href=""> elements are links, you don't need them either, however in your code, you have correctly inserted the images i.e you have sourced them correctly :)

Thank you, Grace. I finally figured out that I had too much information. I appreciate your reply.
