I need a suggestion, it is a game changer.

So, I am making an Android App, and I need suggestions. The app is a weather app, but, I used Microsoft Paint for my icons, and they looked so, so, so ugly and pixely. I am wanting a nice smooth Illustrator for my icons, I want it to be free and non-pixely. Any hep is appreciated.
