i need help

Where i wrong: "Declare a String variable named bestSport and initialize it to the first element of the sports array."

String[] sports = { "Basketball", 
                   "Baseball", 
                   "Tennis" };
String bestSport = "";
Random randomGenerator = new Random(2); // a new random number generator
 int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(2);

if (randomNumber == 0){
                    // set to a
                    bestSport = "Basketball ";

Hi,

You're mixing up different challenges here! This one is just about accessing the array.

The first task wants you to create a String, call it bestSport and assign to it the value stored in the first element of the array.

The fist element of the array is numbered zero and accessed with square brackets: sports[0].

So, piecing that lot together gets you:

String bestSport = sports[0];
