HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

I need to create a list element with the word portfolio inside. I wrote
portfolio
why is that incorrect?

full question: Inside the navigation element, create three list items with the words, "portfolio", "about", and "contact". Don;t add links yet. When I check my work it says to check that I included the word portfolio. For portfolio I wrote
portfolio

index.html

Nick Pettit

Nick Pettit

Designer

portfolio

about

cantact

Here is what I did. I think how you captalize things is important too. Hope this helps!

Nick Pettit

Nick Pettit

Designer

Portfolio

About

Contact

© 2013 Nick Pettit.

Hi Hannah, in this step, remove the a tags inside li elements. Also, but this may not be necessary, all the words in the nav menu should start with capital letter. Hope this helps :-)

It says to not add links to the list items yet. So if you remove the links from
About
and
Contact
you should be good.

It has been said already, but I'll confirm to you that capitalization counts, and you also should remove those anchor tags. You will pass it when it is exactly as the instructions say, like this,
Portfolio
plus the other two items.

also- check the spelling for "contact"- best of luck!

Thanks!
