i still don't know what data types are? data types are different types of data such as int, str and floats, correct?

It sounds like you do know what data types are! :+1:

Things like int, str", and *float are "data types". Now the "data" is just what the variables hold.

For instance, an "int" data type might hold the value 21 :point_left: that's the data.
Or a "str" data type might hold the value: "Welcome, stranger!" :point_left: that's the data.
