Ruby Ruby Collections Ruby Arrays Accessing Items in Arrays

I think my answer is correct and can't move forward to do the other challenge tasks.

Looked up online and it said my answer is correct.

array.rb
grocery_list = ["milk", "eggs", "bread", "ice cream", "potatoes", "pie"]

first_item = grocery_list(0)

Hi Marguerite,

You've almost got it, but you need to use square brackets to index into an array:

first_item = grocery_list[0]

Alexander Davison She was replying to me. I had also posted an answer but Greg had posted before I refreshed. Likely as not she received an email with my answer that I had removed :)
