16,846 PointsHi there! I looked at the challenge, and it seems to be asking you to create a variable. You don't need to include script tags in your JS file. You would need them if you were including this code in an HTML file, but since this file is separate, it doesn't need the tags.
<script>
var myName;
</script>
should just be:
var myName;
That should help you complete the first part of the challenge, and you can go on to the second part.
