I was inspired by a http://jennyhan.com/ to learn web design, what's the best to learn to be able to create such a site?

I'm on the TeamTreehouse web design track right now, but wondering what to learn in the pipeline to be able to design sites like the aforementioned site. I'd like to learn as efficiently as possible and come out with strong skills. Thank you.

This can all be achieved with a simple html layout using css transitions, and maybe a little jQuery here and there.

It looks like the current site was built in flash which i don't recommend, it is a dying technology. I'm not even sure you can view a flash site on an apple product.

Thank you for your insight, Chris! I will check out jQuery when I'm done with the CSS modules of my Treehouse track. Much appreciated,

I echo this too. JQuery is actually pretty wonderful for bringing interactivity to a website and is so much nicer than relying on native JavaScript alone. Going through your CSS modules will definitely help as JQuery favours CSS selectors.

Also, there are a good number of JQuery libraries out there, a few websites with a directory of them as well, so worth bearing in mind as you may not have to reinvent the wheel if there's a plugin that provides you with exactly what you need.

Thank you, Bryn. I appreciate your supporting the idea to learn JQuery; I will look into exploring plugins in various libraries and directories, too.
