If and Else Statement for Object-Oriented

How could I write the If and Else function together under the feedback method? Am I anywhere near right and missing something minor or am I completely wrong?

first_class.py 
class Student:
    name = "Your Name"

    def praise(self):
        return "You inspire me, {}".format(self.name)

    def reassurance(self):
        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self):
        if > 50:
            return praise
        else:
            return reassurance

Hey Jorge Grajeda, you have the correct idea but the elements have errors:

  • in addition to self, the method feedback needs a grade parameter: (self, grade)
  • the if condition needs to use the grade parameter: if grade > 50:
  • the references to the other methods need a self. prefix, as in, self.praise
  • to execute a method include parens after the name, as in, self.praise(). Otherwise, without the parens you are returning a pointer to the function and not actually executing the function.
