Two things:

  1. You have to add the style tag before the h1, not inside it. You'll also need the closing tag.
<body>
   <style></style>
   <h1></h1>
</body>
  1. You have targeted the wrong element ("hi"), you have to target "h1"
<style>
h1 {

}
</style>

You want the style tags to go above the h1 tags:
