if lists that have multiple items in them it asks you to print certain strings what to do??

finding out how to print only some string literals when there are many

Hey Tanzila Rafeeq, parsing items in lists is a common Python task.

A useful way to check each item in a list is using the for loop, of the form:

for item in my_list:
    # do something with item

In this challenge, it would be to print the item.

If you need to filter the items, that is, only do something with certain items, an if statement can be used to see if the item meets the criteria:

if <conditional_statement>:
    # proceed to do something

Examples of conditional statements:

  • item[0] == "A"
  • item.startswith("A")
