Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Conditional Value

If, then...Armageddon

What am I doing wrong in this If then, else statement?

conditions.py
admitted = None
if age >= 13:
  admitted = True
  else:
    admitted = False

Hi Amel. The reason why your code is not passing the challenge is that your else: is indented. The else is not inside any other block of code and therefore should not be indented. Here is how your code should look:

admitted = None
if age >= 13:
  admitted = True
else:
    admitted = False

Thanks, Haider

Hey there Amel,

the only problem is the indentation of your else block. If you indent it correctly like so:

admitted = None
if age >= 13:
  admitted = True
else:
  admitted = False

it should work fine, good luck! :)
