Lacks logical operator between the two expressions. Operator 'and' - '&&'.

Complete the code below so that either condition must be true for the alert message to appear:

if (username === '' "______ password === " '') { alert("Password or user name is missing"); }

If this is the questions then the key word is either condition. so if either condition must be true there are options

  1. use the && "and" operator this will make the condition have both conditions be true. so if ( a === b && c ===d ). both conditions need to be true in order the for the condition to be true.

we only want either condition to be true, so there is the other option

  1. using the || "or" operator. this will make either condition be true. so if ( a=== b || c === d ) either condition needs to be true in order for the condition to pass as true. Not both, just either or.

if (username === " " || password === '' ") { alert("Password or user name is missing"); }

"Complete the code below so that either condition must be true for the alert message to appear:"

Isn't this what they want to ask:

"Complete the code below so that at least one condition must be true for the alert message to appear:"

?

Artur are right. Your code is not valid. In your case you should use some logical operator like && or || to make logical operation on it.

if (username === '' password === '') { alert("Password or user name is missing"); }
