I'm assigning the clearfix to the footer with <div class="container clearfix"> and the CSS has the .clearfix::after

This seems pretty straight forward task but I'm getting an error = make sure you are applying the clearfix class to the footer tag. I think I'm doing this right, any suggestions?

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

.clearfix::after {
  content: "";
  display: table;
  clear: both;
}

.footer-nav {
  float: left;
}

.logo {
  float: right;
}

.footer-nav li {
  float: left;
}

Hey Ryan,

You are applying the clearfix class to the <div> that is surrounding the <footer> and not the actual footer. You need to give the footer the clearfix class instead, and that should solve the issue. :)
