This challenge can be a nasty one! It asks you to display the string to the screen so you don't add to the variable you created in task 2. You can display the string by using echo as shown below:

$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullname = $firstName . " " . $lastName;
echo $fullname . " was the original creator of PHP\n";
?>
