7,218 PointsI'm having trouble understanding this challenge.
This challenge asks for you to select the <input> element with the ID "linkName" and store its value inside the variable inputValue. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, or perhaps I'm just not understanding what the challenge wants? Could somebody just point me in the right direction? Thanks!
var inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName');

It's asking for the value within the input element. e.g. looking for value variable.
In the code you wont' see it since it'll be pulled from whatever a user types in.
