14,189 PointsIt was the second task 2/3. Not really sure if it wanted me to assign a new NSNumber variable to the id or to assign the already declared id variable as a NSNumber var.

38,442 PointsOk, so first you have to realize that declaring a variable to type id allows you to later assign that variable to any to just about any type of Objective-C object. Now, sure we could use the long syntax to make the variable thing of type NSNumber, but it will be much easier to use the shorthand convenience constructor.

thing = @4;
