JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Getting a Handle on the DOM Selecting by Id

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong here, maybe I don't understand what the task is asking me to do. Not sure.

let button = document.getElementByID("sayPhrase");

and I get this error: undefined is not a variable team treehouse (evaluating 'document.getElementByID("sayPhrase")')

js/app.js
let button = document.getElementByID("sayPhrase");
let input;

button.addEventListener('click', () => {
  alert(input.value);
});

Hello Ryan

You have a type-o in function name, use getElementById instead of getElementByID.

Hope it helps

Code is correct, theres a syntax error. Its suppose to be document.getElementById instead of document.getElementByID

let button = document.getElementById("sayPhrase");
