292 PointsI"m not sure what I'm doing wrong here. The quiz says it is incorrect. $this->name = $common_name;
I' not sure why the following code is incorrect.
function __construct($name,flavor,$record) {
$this->name = $common_name; $this->flavor = $flavor; $this->record = $record_weight;
}
<?php
class Fish {
public $common_name;
public $flavor;
public $record_weight;
function __construct ($name,$flavor,$record) {
$this->name = $common_name;
$this->flavor = $flavor;
$this->record = $record_weight;
}
}
?>

8,522 PointsHi there,
I think you just have the parameter and field names swapped over - The parameters being passed in should be assigned to the member properties, as in:
<?php
class Fish {
public $common_name;
public $flavor;
public $record_weight;
function __construct($name, $flavor, $record) {
$this->common_name = $name;
$this->flavor = $flavor;
$this->record_weight = $record;
}
}
?>
Hope this makes sense? :)
Thanks, Rich
