I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong

what is wrong with this syntax, I've tested it in workspace and it works fine

index.php
<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = 'Rasmus';
$lastName = 'Lerdorf';
$fullname = "$firstName $lastName";
$fullname .= " was the original creator of PHP\n";

?>

for the last part of challenge, you need to output the message by using ehco, also it's best to make use of the $fullname variable created in the part 3.

<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullname = "$firstName $lastName";
echo "$fullname was the original creator of PHP\n";
?>

Thank you for responding, I figured that out about 10 mins after I asked the question (and couldn't figure out how to remove my question). Careful reading of the task is key sometimes isn't it. Thanks again!
