8,112 PointsI'm pretty stumped on pt 3, I'm not even sure what questions to ask, I'm just stuck. Any pointers?
I don't even know really what the question is asking but after rereading it a number of times, it's still very unclear to me what it is asking. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to finish the function in weather.js
$(document).ready(function() {
var weatherAPI = 'http://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather';
var data = {
q : "Portland,OR",
units : "metric"
};
function showWeather(weatherReport) {
$("#temperature").text() = $(this).main.temp; // <--- I'm Stuck here...
};
});

<script src="weather.js"></script>

<div id="main">
<h1>Current temperature: <span id="temperature"></span>°</h1>
</div>
</body>
</html>

6,796 PointsThis assignment of the value to the span tag is incorrect.
$("#temperature").text()
$("#temperature") -- This selects the container. .text() -- inserts text into this container ; -- we're done so we end the line with a ; Example: $("#temperature").text("Hello World");
