I'm trying to create a random number and its not working

i'm trying to create a random number and no alert or number pops up here is my code : var dieRoll = math.floor( math.random() * 6 ) + 1; alert('You rolled a ' + dieRoll);

Sara,

Your code was SOOOO close, just needed a capital "M" in math versus lower case.

var dieRoll = Math.floor( Math.random() * 6 ) + 1; 
alert('You rolled a ' + dieRoll);

If that doesn't work, let me know! :)

In JavaScript, things are case sensitive. There is no such thing as math unless you define it yourself. Try replacing with Math
