:point_right: You can't multiply a number by a string.

That's why the challenge hinted: "Because the width variable is a string, you'll need to use a JavaScript function to retrieve the number value."

The function they are talking about is parseInt().

Since numOfDivs is an Number, and width is a String, you need to convert width to a Number as well :

parseInt(width) // this will return the converted string(which will now be a number)
