HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Adding a New Web Page Write the HTML

img from placeimg.com does not change when I refresh the webpage.

Hi, unlike speaker's webpage, mine does not have an image from imgplace.com to change to a random picture eventhough I refresh the webpage I am working on. Is it how it is?

The image is probably being cached in your browser. You may be able to force it to re-fetch by hitting Ctrl + F5 on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac.

Another trick I've used is to add a fake query string to the image URL to prevent the browser from using the cached version with a line of JavaScript:

document.querySelector("img").src += "?nocache=" + Math.random();

Note that this particular script will only affect the first image on the page.

This worked for me using a chromebook. Ctrl + refresh button.
