7,176 PointsIn layman's terms, what is the difference between "randomNum" and "randomNumber"?
At first, my code wouldn't preview because for some reason I wanted to deviate from instruction and use "randomNumber" consistently. I now appreciate that they are different but I'd like to learn more from this experience, drawing insight from wiser minds. Any feedback would be appreciated by this newbie! Thanks!

15,028 PointsGiven the following code:
function randomNumber(upper) {
return Math.floor(Math.random() * upper) + 1;
}
var counter = 0;
while (counter < 10) {
var randNum = randomNumber(6);
document.write(randNum + ' ');
counter += 1;
}
randomNumber
is the name of a function. What you're doing with randNum
is calling the function, passing the value 6
into it, and storing the result of this operation into the variable called randNum
. The variable could be called anything! The name randNum
isn't special; it's just suitable given what we're storing inside it. Does this make any sense?

7,176 PointsAbsolutely! Thank you! Iām working full-time and in the midst of a coding camp, so sometimes I have a serious case of the brainfarts. ?
Thank you!
