Courses Plus Student 582 PointsInitially task 1 is said to be passing passing. However, once I get to task 2, I'm told to recheck task 1.
I'd love some help. I've tried not having a space between () and having a space. Neither works. I'm not sure where I went wrong. Thank you!
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase( );
userName += "#" lastName.toUpperCase( );

14,427 PointsHey there, one thing I noticed was that the code is missing a + right after the '#' to append the lastName variable. You could also solve this challenge by writing all of this code on the initial var userName variable and save a step. This way you wouldn't have to write on the next line userName +=. So, it would look like this:
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
