inline .main-nav/.name

Hey i'm so confused why: This... didn't inline display...

.name, .main-nav li { display: inline; }

but THIS...did??? Why do you need to write main-nav twice?? .name, .main-nav, .main-nav li { display: inline; }

Thanks

Those are two different selectors:

  • .main-nav li :point_left: this selects list items that are inside the element with the class "main-nav"
  • .main-nav:point_left: this selects the element with the class "main-nav" itself
