Hi tejaswini vadnal,

Yeah, You're kinda right but you need to put a semi colon when you finish any statement. Like :

<html>
<head>
<title>PHP Basic Usage Challenge</title>
</head>
<body>
<p><?php echo "Hello World"; ?></p>
</body>
</html>

But parenthesis are optional.

You are almost right, you have to remember to use the parenthesis with your functions and the semi-colon when you finish an statement.

<html>
<head>
<title>PHP Basic Usage Challenge</title>
</head>
<body>
<?php echo("Hello World"); ?>
</body>
</html>

I hope that helps a little bit
