You had a typing mistake just change herf to href

<footer>
  <a href="https://teamtreehouse.com/library/add-social-media-links" ><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="facebook logo"></a>
  <a href="https://teamtreehouse.com/library/add-social-media-links"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="twitter logo"></a>
  <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
</footer>

Your anchor tag is spelled incorrectly. It should say:

 <footer>
     <a href="https://facebook.com/justinbieber"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="facebook logo"></a>
     <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="twitter logo"></a>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
