Not sure what you want, I think the code you pasted got messed up, but here's what an unordered list should look like.

   <ul>
      <li><img src="img/number-01.jpg"/></li>
      <li><img src="img/number-02.jpg"/></li>
      <li><img src="img/number-03.jpg"/></li>
   </ul>
