Hey Rosa,

You're on the right track. There are just a couple of things.

First, somehow, from Task one to Task two the closing quotes got deleted from the script src line in the index.html file. So, those need to be added back.

<script src="shout.js"></script>

Second, when writing JavaScript in a JavaScript file, you do not use <script> tags. Those are only used in an HTML file. So, your alert() method is correct, you just need to delete the <script> tags from inside the shout.js file. There should only be the alert line.
