16,936 Pointsyou need to move your script into the shout.js file. you currently have it in the index.html file. You might also want to remove the extra spaces in your alert. these challenges are strict at times.

6,004 PointsYou already have a link beetwen index.html and shout.js : <script src="shout.js"></script> You just have to write the javascript instructions into the shout.js file :
