Installation of wordpress and login to administrative URL

When I try to login using the administrative link I see: URL ERROR invalid username

So then I resorted to re- installing word press from softaculous several times, and I get in for a while and then the above message pops up.

More than likely your WordPress install isn't "connected" to the database that stores your usernames and passwords. When you install WordPress you'll need to make sure the database name, and sql username/password are correct so that WordPress can talk to your SQL database. You can edit these options in the wp-config.php file
