Hi, Harry. I don't work for Treehouse (and I think there would be many advantages to the solution you propose), but also I suspect that we learn a good deal when we're forced to explain the problem and to type out the code. When I reproduce the code, I have a chance to look at it carefully, differently. The change of color or background or task or frame of mind -- these can all help me identify a problem. And that will sometimes be just what I need to recognize & solve the problem on my own. It's a pretty cool feeling when I figure out what I did wrong & it means I know the stuff better than I did before.

I think also that it's good (for me at least) to feel a little bit frustrated, to feel challenged beyond what I think I can understand --- just a bit, and just for a while.

What if there were a mechanism for sharing code like the one you propose (that would reduce or eliminate typographical errors in the forum questions)... but maybe the button brought up a pop-up that scrolled slowly through your code (presented it in a slightly different way), so that you still got another chance to figure it out for yourself?

Fair enough, your last suggestion must be really considered I guess. Cheers S.A.

Sometimes a screenshot is definitely more helpful to share! You can add photos here in the Forum by uploading them to a service like Imgur and then linking them with Markdown as shown in the Markdown Cheatsheet linked below a comment box.
