Having trouble unzipping the file. It seems like it will take hours to extract!

14,780 PointsThe Android Studio file is indeed massive! However, on most PC's, it should not take hours.
Have you managed to extract the file yet? If not, can you provide the following information for me and see if anything stands out:
1) What unzipper are you using? e.g: WinRAR, 7Zip, Windows Explorer built-in unzipper? 2) What are your computer's specifications? e.g: CPU and RAM (This information can be accessed by right clicking on Computer/System in Windows).
Thanks in advance!

Courses Plus Student 1,186 PointsHello Harry, Thanks for your reply to my discussion.
I believe I am using Windows explorer unzipper. My system type is a 64-bit Operating System and My RAM is 4.00 GB(3.88 GB usable). Also, What program is more efficient, Eclipse or Android Studio? I'm asking because I didn't have this problem extracting the Eclipse file.
Thanks for your help and support

14,780 PointsThat is very odd. I would try giving WinRAR a go and see if that makes any difference. I haven't heard of anyone having issues with this before so I am not sure what could be causing this.
As for which is the most efficient, it is really personal preference. All of the courses are soon going to be changed to Android Studio because it is now the recommended IDE to use but, Eclipse will also work just fine but, you may need to do things slightly differently than the video. If so, these forums are a great place to stop off for assistance!
Let me know how it goes!
