10,989 PointsIs it advisable to learn both Native android & iOS development simultaneously?
Hi guys, has anybody learned both of these platforms at the same time before? Right now I have been doing a lot of Android stuff mainly because that is the kind of device that I own and my favorite mobile platform, but I have noticed that almost everyone that I know has an iPhone, and I would love to be able to develop apps that they can use too, I love both platforms and would love to just be able to learn both right now, just wondering if this is a good thing to do. I do understand that Swift and Java have completely different programming paradigms, and have different best practices and ways to deal with UI. I would really appreciate some advice on this, thanks a lot guys.

29,119 PointsSure, if you're interested in both then absolutely. For example, Ben Jakuben, an Android teacher at Treehouse, learned mobile app development by practicing both at the same time.
