JavaScript JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects Tracking Multiple Items with Arrays Useful Array Methods

Is it necessary to assign the array to a new variable while using the '.join' method?

If we want to use the join method, cant we directly log it to the console. In the example in the video Dave assigns the "daysInWeek" array variable to a new variable called "daysString" and uses the '.join' method. And then logs "daysString" to the console. Can we directly log "daysInWeek" variable to the console and use the '.join' method.

console. log(daysInWeek.join(', ');

You certainly can (assuming you balance the parentheses! "console.log(daysInWeek.join(', '));")

And in fact, if you have no other use for that variable, this would be a more optimal solution.
